Terms of Service

By accessing or using VietOwl.org, you agree to follow these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you should not continue using the service.

Anyone under 18 should only use VietOwl with the consent and supervision of a parent, guardian or responsible educational institution.

Children under 13 may use VietOwl only through a student account registered and managed by a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for all activity on that account.

VietOwl provides a platform that supports online learning, connects students with tutors, and runs classes with audio/video, an interactive board, exercises, tests and progress tracking.

Specific features may vary by account role, program, device and over time. We may improve, replace or discontinue some features when needed to operate the service.

• You must provide accurate information and only use the account issued to you.
• You are responsible for protecting your sign-in method and for activity that happens through your account.
• Do not share class access with unauthorized people or impersonate others.
• Notify VietOwl immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account or that your sign-in details have been exposed.

Students, tutors and observers must respect one another and keep the learning environment safe.

• Do not harass, insult, threaten or share discriminatory content.
• Do not post illegal, offensive or harmful content or content that infringes the rights of others.
• Do not record audio or video, or distribute images, voices or class content, without permission.
• Do not disrupt sessions, vandalize the shared board or deliberately interfere with other people’s devices.
• Do not use other people’s results, work or accounts to cheat.

VietOwl lets students and tutors exchange messages to discuss learning goals, schedules and classes. Messages must stay related to learning and follow the classroom rules and prohibited conduct in these terms.

• Do not send spam, unsolicited advertising or bulk messages.
• Do not harass, threaten, pressure or send sexual, violent or otherwise inappropriate content, especially to students under 18.
• Do not ask for or send passwords, payment card details or other sensitive information.
• Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent your qualifications.

Encryption and access. Message content is encrypted before it is stored. VietOwl does not routinely read your messages. Authorized VietOwl personnel may access specific conversations only when reasonably necessary to investigate a report or dispute, enforce these terms, protect the safety of users (especially minors), prevent fraud or abuse, or comply with a legal obligation. Such access is limited to the conversations concerned, uses a separate review key, and is recorded in an internal audit log.

By using messaging, you acknowledge and agree to this limited access. Do not use messaging for information you would not want reviewed in these circumstances.

VietOwl may limit, suspend or remove messaging for accounts that violate these terms.

Keep communication on VietOwl. Like other tutoring marketplaces, we ask that lesson arrangements, scheduling and payment go through VietOwl. Do not share or request phone numbers, email addresses, social-media handles, external links or other contact details in messages for the purpose of arranging lessons or payment outside the platform. Doing so may lead to a warning, removal of messaging or suspension of the account.

• Gaining unauthorized access, scanning for vulnerabilities or bypassing security and permission controls.
• Spreading malware, sending traffic that overloads the service or otherwise disrupting it.
• Copying, reselling or commercially exploiting the service without VietOwl’s permission.
• Collecting other users’ data, contact details or content without authorization.
• Using VietOwl for purposes that violate the law or intellectual property rights.

The interface, software, brand, materials and content provided by VietOwl belong to VietOwl or the relevant licensors. You may use them for personal purposes and permitted learning activities.

You remain responsible for the content you upload to the service. You confirm that you have the right to use that content and allow VietOwl to store, display, transmit or process it as needed to run classes and provide the service.

The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. Camera, microphone and screen sharing should only be turned on when needed for class. You are responsible for checking your surroundings and avoiding exposing sensitive information before streaming video or sharing your screen.

VietOwl may limit, suspend or terminate an account when there are signs of a breach of these terms, a risk to other users or the system, a legal requirement, or when the right to attend classes has ended. Where appropriate, we will notify the user and give them a chance to explain.

We strive to keep the service stable but do not guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. The quality of online classes also depends on internet connections, devices, browsers and third-party infrastructure.

VietOwl is an educational support tool; content, scores or feedback on the platform do not replace official assessments by schools or professional advice. To the extent permitted by law, VietOwl is not liable for indirect damages arising from misuse of the service or events beyond reasonable control.

VietOwl may update these terms to reflect changes to the service or the law. New versions will be posted on this page with the update date. Continuing to use the service after the terms take effect means you accept the new version.

These terms, and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or to the service, are governed by the laws of [State], United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and the United States Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of the arbitration clause below.

Informal resolution first. Before starting any formal proceeding, you agree to contact VietOwl via our official Fanpage with a description of the dispute and to try in good faith to resolve it informally for at least 30 days.

Binding arbitration. If a dispute is not resolved informally, it will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. The arbitration may be conducted remotely or in the county where you live.

Class-action waiver. You and VietOwl agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, consolidated or representative proceeding.

Opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these terms by sending a written notice with your account email through our official Fanpage. If you opt out, disputes will be heard exclusively in the state or federal courts located in [County, State], and you consent to their jurisdiction.

If any part of this section is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect, except that if the class-action waiver is unenforceable the entire arbitration agreement will be void for that dispute.
